Gardeners are beautiful.

A couple years ago I was driving down the road and saw a man working in his garden. I liked the way the light and everything looked. I stopped, introduced myself, and convinced Ray Cox to allow me to photograph him in his garden.

That first painting of Ray in his garden with the sunshine coming down through his hat and on to his face got me hooked on gardeners as a favourite muse.
